I believe that Gordon Battelle would be proud, and perhaps a bit overwhelmed, to walk the halls and see the remarkable work we’re doing each and every day. While he may not have realized it when he wrote his will, what he invented was a unique research and development organization that amplified his family’s spirit of philanthropic giving and inspired other great leaders of Central Ohio. As a result, Columbus enjoys one of the highest per capita philanthropic giving rates in the country.
